ICU呼吸機

我有個親人手術後病情惡化入了ICU，入去前可以自已呼吸，但入了ICU後，就裝上了呼吸機。因為現時病情惡化太多(細菌感染)，我們想把他就ICU接出來，現時病人是清醒的，如果現時不用呼吸機有問題嗎? 我們只想陪他餘下的時間說說話，會否不用呼吸機會馬上呼吸不了嗎?
