乳糜尿

Chyluria is due to lymphatic fluid leaking from the small bowel to the kidneys. It results in loss of fat and fat soluble vitamins. When intermittent, mild and not causing nutritional issues, it can be controlled by low fat diet and plenty of fluid. Give the appropriate medication when filariasis is the cause. In severe cases causing malnutrition with chyle clot obstruction, surgery has to be considered.
