It's interesting to note the previous comment mentioning that Dr. Tong didn't read the MRI report during the first visit. I had a similar experience where I initially felt frustrated, but later came to understand that relying solely on the MRI report may not always provide a completely accurate diagnosis. One common cognitive error that doctors tend to make is placing too much reliance on pre-existing diagnoses. In Dr. Tong's case, it's not that he didn't read the report at all; rather, he first conducted his own examination to form his own diagnosis, and then proceeded to review the report. Overall, my personal experience with Dr. Tong has been very positive.
He followed up with me throughout the entire process, from pre-surgery to post-surgery. This level of commitment helped me feel reassured and supported throughout my treatment journey (ACL reconstruction).

Dr. Tong is highly regarded as the go-to doctor for orthopaedic issues. If, for any reason, he feels that he is not the most suitable surgeon for a specific operation, he is transparent and honest about it (I heard more than one person telling me the same).

Try not to break your knee during ski seasons. Because Dr. Tong will be in and out of the town skiing most of the time Zzzz

A very commercial and business-minded doctor who is both unprofessional in his initial diagnosis on the first visit(he doesnt even look at the MRI scan I brought) and disrespectful in his treatment of patient when rescheduling my surgery dates(forcing patient to accept a date or find another doctor). I ended up going to another doctor for my surgery, and Im grateful for this decision.
