My left ovary was found enlarged back in a February this year and then I went to see a Chinese doctor in Tung Wah Hospital in a hope that Chinese medicine would make my cyst go away by itself naturally. I ended up taking Chinese medicine for 3 months before going back to do an ultrasound scan. Unfortunately, the cyst didn’t strink or go away at all after Chinese medicine treatments.
Before deciding to have the keyhole surgery to remove the cyst, I consulted three gynaecologists (including Dr Sum). I found Dr Sum online and decided to consult him based on the online reviews written by his past patients. In my perspective, Dr Sum is far more professional, patient and attentive compared with the other two gynaecologists I consulted. He explained thoroughly to me how such cyst was developed in my body and the chances of having the same cyst developed in my ovary again after the surgery. Also, he told me the way he performed the keyhole surgery for such cyst removal would be slightly difference than how other gynaecologists would do it, because he believes minimising the risk of damaging the ovary is the most important!
The surgery lasted about 1.5 hours I think and it was done under general anaesthesia. The cyst was safely removed outside my body without being burst at all (proven by photos). I had 3 holes (or wounds) on my abdomen and the scars are super tiny! I went back to see Dr Sum today (10 days after the surgery), he said the wounds had been healing nicely.

I’m very pleased to have found Dr Sum and let him carry out this surgery. I’d 100% recommend any women to see him if they had any gynaecological problems. 👍👍👍
