The radiotherapy for your father is palliative intent. Usually lasts for 10 days in 2 weeks' time. Radiotherapy itself will NOT lead to disease progression.

葉維晉醫生回覆 - 前列腺最常擴散至骨骼. PSA 會升高. 骨骼轉移處如有疼痛可用電療醫治.
電療是需要一段時間(療程), 幾個星期吧. 不會很不舒服. 一般病人都可接受.
擴散至骨骼可以箅是末期病而且病人已有抗荷爾蒙針的治療.

- Radiotherapy is useful for pain control, stopping further bone destruction and prevent vertebral collapse in metastastic carcinoma of prostate to the central skeleton. It is a good tool for palliation and unlikely to inflict further suffering. Do consider going for it if indicated.
