serum ferritin taking
病患者女 - 35歲

Can I take a serum ferritin test on my first day of menstruation? Why? Information points out ferritin seems different from iron, one is the ability to store iron and one is the blood's iron level. thx

Dear Shan, ferritin level is a measure of the iron store in your body.It doesn’t affect much during menstruation. And iron level is a direct measure of the free iron available in your blood. Both are markers to show whether you have iron deficiency or not.
