Chicken pox scar is complex to manage depending on the size and the depth of the concavity or amount of the depressed scar from loss of skin tissue. Therapy varies from laser resurfacing to scar excision. Complete scar removal may not be possible.
You are likely to have hypertrophic scar. Application of silicone sheet may not be effective. You may benefit from trial of steroid injections to the scar, Usual program is 3 injections at monthly interval.

Traumatic accidental tattoo means colored dust particles are embedded in the skin causing pigment like discoloration of the skin. This condition is usually treated by 3 to 6 sessions of laser therapy @ 6 weeks apart.We commonly use Q-switched (short pulse) Nd-YAG laser. Carbon dioxide (CO2) laser which is more ablative is usually reserved as a second line treatment.
