Yes, it is worthwhile to get investigated. Pelvic ultrasound scan to look for gynaecological problems, CT abdomen for to exclude other surgical issues, for example appendicitis (right lower tummy). The more direct route would be to see a gynaecologist for consult.

Hello hokevin,
Placental abruption is a clinical diagnosis. Antenatal bleeding after 24 weeks usually painful will be the symptoms. Commonly acute, onset is frequently sudden and can be minor or major, presentations are varied. For instance, it could be revealed with vaginal bleeding or concealed (within abdomen)with no vaginal bleeding. Duration from time of onset is difficult to pin point. From clinical perspective, it may be more practical and appropriate for the medical staff involved to comment.

Congratulations! It’s time to go for the first check with obstetrician. Hope you have been on folic acid supplements already, if not- it’s time to start. The doctor will see you and do appropriate examination , scan (usually transvaginal scan if you are 7-8 weeks pregnant) for the pregnancy.

Cervical infection or cervicitis is a very broad term that is not helpful for further treatment/management. Perhaps investigations like a cervical smear +/- high risk HPV testing, swabs for specific infection may be needed to help treat your problem.
