生蛇成因？會否響生命安全？

小弟的父親今年68歲，近幾天他感到皮膚像火燒痛楚，去看醫生後，醫生只說他發燒，所以只給他一些退燒藥便算，過了一天老父還感不適，在肚上出現怪怪的瘡及好像發霉白色的痕跡，他立到一些政府醫院門診醫理，醫生向他說那病稱為「生蛇」，還說會向腰間惡化下去及沒醫理方法，請問各位專業醫生，「生蛇」是否皮膚病一種？成因是什麼？是否真的沒法醫理？「生蛇」會否應響生命安全？
