耳仔受傷
病患者男 - 40歲
右耳被飛來的籃球打中，當時有耳鳴及疼痛，右耳只聽到較微弱聲音，約三四成音量。隨即求診，急症科醫生當時用儀器看到耳內有紅腫，沒出血，耳膜沒破，應該過兩三天會好。現過了四天，右耳仍有一點疼痛，聽力回復八至九成，身處較靜環境時會聽到微弱的低頻聲音，對較大聲及較高音聲音比較敏感，亦試過有耳鳴，不計算受傷當日，四天內有兩三次，每次持續數秒。請問康復情況是否理想？

Dear Sir,
This is Dr Frederick Wong. You have suffered from a blunt ear injury, and there may have been pressure transmitted to the middle and inner ear. Therefore, you have the ringing sound and are sensitive to sound.
While you're on track to recovering, it will be better if you have a checkup of your hearing with a formal hearing test and see an ENT specialist for a more thorough examination. Meanwhile, I suggest you avoid playing contact sports, diving, and exposure to loud noise (e.g. going to pop concerts or listening to earphones) until you fully recover.
