骨痛

老人家75歲，（平常只做晨運）三個月前曾行山遊，回家後波羅蓋痛，往後日子行路忍忍作痛，上樓梯更甚(從前沒有試過)，曾看過醫生說是骨質老化所至...
請問有何治療能改善呢?(除吃止痛藥)謝謝！
