Your medical card only worths $100 per consultation. That means you will only get $100 of service. Private doctors offer service according to the level of payment patients make. The issue is that private doctors foot their own bill of the clinic. If you want unlimited service by using your $100 medical card, I will advise you to see the Government clinic where you pay forty dollars something and you can see as much illness as you want, like eating in a buffet. I think this doctor did the right thing.

I do think that doctors should have high ethical standard. However, if you use company card or medical card that worth not much, you cannot expect too much. Pay by yourself if you really respect a doctor. If you dont respect your doctor, how you can suppose your doctor will respect you. Now you are the problem here, not that of Dr. Chan.

I cannot agree money equals respect, if you are saying to pay by medical card is disrespect to doctors, are you actually saying that all people paying by medical card were treated with disrespect in return? Logically deformed. And actually supportive evidence for my point: professional conduct determined by monetary value. The fact is you guys accept millions of medical card appointments each year. I have no doubt that people that share the same value would react the same.一丘之貉.
